WELCOME

Before I became a wedding/portrait photographer, I tried a lot of different fields. Landscape, sports, even school photography. It made me feel so out of place. I knew the only thing in the world I wanted to do was to be a photographer. I got my first camera at 14 and it felt like something came alive in me. The only thing that was missing was that spark. If I was going to do this, I was going to get it right. The first time I shot a wedding ( for free by the way ) I felt like I was a part of something. I was doing something important. I might not be saving lives, but I'm capturing them. I'm giving them the gift of their memories. I was giving them the gift of seeing themselves the way they never have. The way the world looks at them. To see a mother look at a photo you took of her child laughing is the greatest gift. She will have that piece of her baby forever. I had found my place in the world. I had a bride tell me the world is a beautiful place through my camera and I couldn't agree more. When I hold my camera in my hand, I'm at peace. Something happens to me. I go from being the sarcastic, funny, outgoing girl my friends & family know me as, to this quite, laid back photographer. My friends say it's my process. They also say I make a very quite humming noise everytime I get my shot, haha. I've heard that more than once, so I guess it's true.

The truth about my life is I'm just a girl from Colorado who happens to love her job. I love my clients and I love my clients loving their photos. I've been blessed in so many ways in life. A wonderful husband who still holds my hand and will do the dishes. A daughter that bribes me with kisses and knows how to do the fist pump explosion. I might not be a millionaire and you will never see me in heels, but I'm the luckiest girl in the world.
